The Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer , in this specific role, you'll have the opportunity to transform the approach to numerical thinking and analysis. Our cutting-edge tool enables users to conduct calculations, visualize data, and share numerical insights with ease. By merging the versatility of spreadsheets with the capabilities of programming, we're making data analysis quick, collaborative, and accessible to everyone. You'll have the opportunity to harness modern technology such as the newest versions of TypeScript, Python, Postgres, Redis and other technologies to collaboratively design and develop the backend system of our award winning products.

This role is ideal for creative Backend Engineers looking to take the next step in their career growth. You may have deep Understanding of algorithms with a strong understanding of data structures, ideally, you have specialized expertise in graph algorithms.

Deeply Understand Our Product and Customers: Immerse yourself in ever aspect of our product and grasp the nuanced needs of our customers to deliver exceptional solutions

What you bring to the table:

Strong background in Software Engineering focusing on backend development - You have a proven track record of building complex products
Backend Expertise: You have practical experience with our backend technologies—including TypeScript (Node.js), Python, Postgres, and Redis (GO is a plus)
Strong Understanding of Algorithms: You have a solid grasp of algorithm and data structures, particularly graph algorithms.
Versatile Coding Skills: You write clean, maintainable, and performant code but can also move quickly and creatively when the situation calls for it.
End-to-End Development: You're comfortable taking features from concept to production, handling everything from defining the technical specs to supporting features once live.
