Senior Data Engineer

Salary: $5000-£6600/month (18,000-24,000 PLN/month)

Location: Poland

Contract: Long term B2B contract

We are currently working with a global market research company, who assist some of the largest clients in the world to drive business growth. Their data capabilities have grown exponentially over the last four years. Having gone through a rapid digitization process and becoming a cloud-native corporation, we are looking for a strong Senior Data Engineer to take their most important data product to the next level.

Day-to-Day activities and goals:

• Developing and maintaining SQL (and NoSQL) databases in Azure, including schema design, stored procedures and data integrity
• Automating ETL processes with Azure tools
• Data cleaning and testing, both in maintaining SQL databases and preparing data for analysis in Azure Databricks and other software products
• Working with in-house and third-party data providers to build rich data sources
• Scripting programming code for live software products, both from a functional and design angle
• Designing fit for purpose data architecture that enables effective data processing and seamless analysis
• Working with the data science team to develop advanced analytical algorithms
• Collaborating with the Kline Pro product owner to facilitate client queries and data request

Essential Skills:

• A Senior Data Engineer a minimum 5 years experience in developing and supporting Stored Procedures
• A Senior Data Engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience with Azure SQL Databases
• A Senior Data Engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience in scripting functional or procedural programming
• A Senior Data Engineer with a minimum experience of 5 years using data science coding language, such as Python or R
• A Senior Data Engineer with a minimum 2 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure or other similar full stack technology
• A Senior Data Engineer with a minimum 2 years experience working with Microsoft Databricks or other similar technology
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

Additional Skills:

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• SSIS, SSAS, Multidimensional Cubes, DAX or MDX
• Power BI, Azure Data Factory or Azure Analysis Services
• Experience in API development
