Position Overview

The graphic designer will work cross functionally across the LolaVie marketing team to deliver creative brief requests, digital and print collateral as well as assisting artwork and guidelines for product campaigns where creativity, consistency and quality are key. The designer will provide an artistic point of view and research concepts through to design and technical detailing for internal review. This is an ideal role for an experienced, skilled and enthusiastic graphic designer with a keen interest in the beauty and haircare industries. Reporting into the Senior Marketing Manager, this role will require a close working relationship with the creative, marketing, and digital teams to interpret and implement the LolaVie design vision.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and design marketing materials including but not limited to emails, social advertising assets, direct mail, print ads, and packaging artwork
  • Work closely with members of our team to create consistent brand materials across our website and all marketing channels
  • Research and develop concepts across multiple projects, creating bodies of work for internal and external approvals and creative discussion
  • Liaise directly with our internal team and external agencies
  • Identify, collect, and organize usable visual assets that can be used to design branded materials
  • Bring a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and efficiency while working under tight deadlines and on multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements

  • BA in Arts, Design, Marketing or equivalent experience
  • 5 – 8 years of prior experience working in graphic design, with exceptional conceptual, typographic and design skills (beauty, apparel, or lifestyle industries strongly preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • Basic video editing skills (Adobe Premiere and/or After Effects)
  • Proficient in Figma (or willing and able to learn quickly)
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to deliver consistently against deadlines
  • Ability to be flexible and comfortable navigating shifting priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to “roll-up your sleeves” to get the job done
  • Passionate about beauty and haircare and well informed on the current beauty landscape and trends, always bringing fresh ideas
  • Must submit a link or attachment to a design portfolio including relevant professional and personal design work
  • Applicants in the Los Angeles area are strongly preferred, but all applicants will be considered
