At Lognext, we’ve been driving technological solutions that transform our clients’ operations for over 18 years. We’re currently collaborating with a global leader in textile innovation and production, aiming to enhance its strategies through advanced predictive modeling applied to production planning and optimization of its logistics centers.
What are we looking for?
- Over 4 years of experience as a Data Scientist, with an advanced academic background in mathematics, computer science, engineering, or related fields.
- Solid experience in developing predictive models for time series, applied to high-variability contexts, similar to intraday trading environments.
- Proficiency in data analysis and manipulation tools such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, and intermediate knowledge of SQL.
- Experience building both basic (decision trees, naïve Bayes, perceptron) and complex machine learning models using custom architectures in Keras, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with explainability techniques such as Permutation Importance to assess variable importance, along with dimensionality reduction methods like PCA, aimed at creating robust, explainable models aligned with business goals.
- Experience with advanced techniques like Transfer Learning, leveraging pretrained models and adapting them to new business challenges.
- Familiarity with ML development platforms such as AzureML or Databricks, as well as version control tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps).
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement predictive models to forecast production, optimize distribution across centers, and improve the operational efficiency of the production network.
- Apply advanced modeling, interpretation, and result validation techniques to ensure models are robust and business-relevant.
- Reuse and adapt pretrained models through transfer learning techniques to accelerate the development of tailored solutions.
- Collaborate in team-based development environments, applying best practices in versioning, testing, and deployment of models to production.
- Actively participate in integrating models into complex tech ecosystems with a focus on scalability and automation.
Valuable knowledge and skills
- Knowledge and experience in MLOps, including CI/CD, automation, and version control.
- Experience working with large-scale data (TBs) and distributed analysis tools like PySpark or Koalas.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Docusaurus.
- Specialized training in Big Data, Data Science, and/or Machine Learning.
- Experience developing microservices with FastAPI, testing with Pytest, and familiarity with reinforcement learning algorithms (PPO, Q-learning).
- Experience with Generative AI applied to real-world projects (LLaMA, DaVinci, GPT, etc.).
- Prior knowledge of cloud services, especially Microsoft Azure.
What do we offer?
- Competitive salary / rate
- Ongoing training, certifications, and a professional development plan.
- Flexible hours and remote work modality.
- Participation in strategic projects for a major company in the textile sector, where predictive analytics has a direct impact on the business.
