Minecraft Video Developer - Data Pack Developer/REMOTE POSSIBLE

Logdotzip Studios, Inc. is a network of YouTube channels that primarily uploads Minecraft video game content. Located in Austin, TX, Logdotzip's network of channels has amassed almost 8.3 million subscribers and uploads content daily. We are a fast growing, fast moving, family friendly production company. We are looking to expand our roster of Developers to work with our Producers and create dynamic content for our channels.

What you'll do:

If given this position you will develop projects for our YouTube video content in a consistent and timely manner. Our channels upload an average of 2 to 4 videos a week, each being 10-20 minutes in length. We work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines so a sense of urgency is a must.

Requirements:

This is a full-time exclusive position.

Must be over 18.

Must be able to speak English fluently.

Our primary working hours are 9:30am to 6pm CST.

MUST SUBMIT A PORTFOLIO OR EXAMPLES OF YOUR WORK TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.

Responsibilities:

• Understands what a JSON file is and how to create or edit one (loot tables, tags, etc)

• Experience working in Java Edition/Datapacks/1.17+ Command Syntax/NBT data

• Understands basic Minecraft related development and resource pack terms, such as entity, datapack, function, scoreboard, model, texture, etc

• Understands basic programming logic/design (scoreboard loops, execute if’s, operators, etc).

• Familiar with Blockbench (or Cubik Studio/some other modeling program)

• Familiar with Aseprite, Paint.net, Photoshop, or some other form of editing software.

• Understands how to navigate and read through technical documentation online in order to advance one's understanding of the subject matter and/or resolve bugs.

• Bonus: Understands how to program Custom Dimensions and Biomes in Java Edition.

• Bonus: Understands how to create Behavior/Resource Packs for Bedrock Edition

• Bonus: Understands Minecraft command syntax for Bedrock Edition

• Bonus: Understands Minecraft components system for Bedrock Edition

• Bonus: Has made an add-on in the past (behavior pack/resource pack for Bedrock Edition)

• Meet deadlines consistently and in a timely manner.

Job Type: Full-Time, expected 40 hours per week
