Job Description

This strategic priority is reshaping our operations and business processes to better serve our customers in terms of cost, quality, and capabilities, while delivering the speed, agility, and insights necessary to stay ahead of rapidly-evolving threats.

The 1LMX ERP Production Operations IT Team is hiring a Product Owner to support transforming Lockheed Martin businesses using the latest SAP S/4HANA ERP systems to drive to a common set of streamlined processes and deliver results for our customers.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will serve as one of the Product Owners of an agile development team covering Product Compliance to support dangerous and hazardous goods movements and storage. You will be responsible for the following:

  • Guiding the technical SAP S4 solution for the MRP Product Team
  • Working with Lockheed Martin IT business analysts and developers, as well as professional services to accomplish the product team objectives
  • Communicating with stakeholders and product management team to understand their needs
  • Working with other Product Owners to ensure smooth handoff between teams and understanding of cross-team impacts
  • Providing clarity of scope and oversight to a team of analysts and developers to ensure

products will satisfy users’ needs

  • Ensuring functionality and products produced by your team are high quality and reliable
  • Clearly expressing Product Backlog items with the team
  • Ordering the items in the Product Backlog to best achieve goals and missions
  • Optimizing the value of the work the Development Team performs
  • Ensuring that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the Scrum Team will work next
  • Ensuring the Development Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed
  • Engaging with leadership to report status and escalate risks/issues to drive to a quick resolution

Desired Skills

  • Experience as a Product Owner
  • Experience with SAP PCCM Module
  • Previous experience with Agile processes and tools including Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Jira or VersionOne
  • Ability to effectively craft appropriate materials and present to Executive level leadership
  • Past experience supporting a major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system modernization projects
  • Formal Agile project management experience or certifications including Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or equivalent portfolio management practices
  • Existing experience with budgeting and executing projects using formal Earned Value Management techniques
  • Demonstrated ability implementing transformational projects, leveraging best practices and sharing assets
