The Director of Marketing at LMi is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and optimization of all paid advertising initiatives across multiple channels. This role combines leadership, performance strategy, team development, and client collaboration to ensure advertising campaigns deliver measurable results. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, deeply familiar with paid media platforms, and excels at both strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor the paid media execution team across platforms including Google PPC, Bing PPC, Facebook Ads, GA4, GTM, and other paid media channels.
- Eliminate execution bottlenecks by leveraging the full capabilities of the execution team and ensuring effective communication without language barriers.
- Lead internal training sessions and upskill team members using a standardized Paid Advertising Playbook.
Performance Strategy & Optimization
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Paid Advertising Playbook to guide campaign setup, optimization, and reporting practices.
- Take full ownership of third-party budgets, ensuring campaigns are paced correctly and aligned with client goals.
- Create performance alerts for budget pacing fluctuations and proactively address issues.
- Audit and restructure legacy accounts to align with current best practices, focusing on account hierarchy, ad groups, keyword strategy, and dynamic feed integrations.
- Continuously monitor and refine in-house paid media strategies for maximum performance and scalability.
- Identify and correct campaign errors impacting performance while training the account team to prevent future issues.
- Conduct market research, attend industry seminars, and apply emerging trends from Google, Facebook, and other platforms to LMi strategies.
- Lead the development and management of comprehensive reporting systems, including dashboards in Google Looker Studio or similar tools.
Implementation & Client Onboarding
- Oversee the onboarding of new paid advertising clients, including campaign builds, custom event setup in Tag Manager, and conversion tracking with vendors.
- Ensure a seamless launch experience and high satisfaction during the first 90 days of every new campaign.
Client Growth & Upsell Strategy
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on paid media for the Account Management team.
- Participate in monthly client calls to present new offerings, troubleshoot performance, and build trust.
- Identify upsell opportunities and introduce advanced tools or services that align with client goals.
High-Level Account Oversight
- Act as the primary account lead for high-budget or complex accounts requiring strategic oversight.
- Collaborate with clients and leadership to set campaign goals, evaluate KPIs, and make data-driven recommendations for ongoing improvements.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on paid advertising.
- Proven success managing and mentoring cross-functional marketing teams.
- Expert knowledge of Google Ads, Facebook Ads, GA4, GTM, and related reporting tools.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience creating visual reports and performance dashboards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
- Experience managing large-scale advertising budgets and delivering measurable ROI.
