About The Role
We are looking for a Core Lead Developer to act as the senior technical backbone of the Core & Platform stream. The role works closely with the interim Product Owner, providing the technical leadership and expertise needed to support both strategic platform decisions and day-to-day development activities.
The ideal candidate brings deep, multi-module ServiceNow expertise, extending beyond ITSM into areas such as ITOM, SPM, HAM/SAM, or GRC, depending on the scope. They will be responsible for ensuring scalable, secure, maintainable, and consistent platform solutions while working closely with Solution and Enterprise Architecture.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring strong ServiceNow platform architecture knowledge, integration expertise, and the ability to translate complex technical decisions into clear recommendations for Product Owners, Project Managers, and other non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements
Senior-level ServiceNow development experience with strong expertise across multiple ServiceNow modules.
Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture and development, including:
CMDB / CSDM
Flow Designer and legacy Workflow
Business Rules
Script Includes
ACLs
GlideRecord / GlideAjax
Strong experience with ServiceNow integrations, including REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and event-driven integrations.
Experience with performance optimisation and ServiceNow security best practices.
Understanding of ServiceNow release cycles, upgrades, deprecations, and technical debt management.
Experience working with OOTB functionality versus custom development and the ability to make pragmatic architectural decisions.
Experience with one or more additional ServiceNow modules beyond ITSM, ideally ITOM, SPM, HAM/SAM, or GRC.
ServiceNow certifications across multiple modules are considered a strong advantage.
Experience working in SAFe and/or Scrum environments.
Ability to contribute to backlog prioritisation and technical decision-making at stream level.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Experience mentoring developers and providing technical guidance is an advantage.
Business-fluent German and strong English communication skills are required.
Willingness and readiness to travel as required by project or client needs is expected. This may include occasional domestic or international travel, sometimes on short notice.
