Senior Backend Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems and APIs using modern cloud-native technologies.Their role focuses on writing efficient, high-quality code, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and innovative fintech solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-performance backend systems and APIs under the guidance of the Backend Team Lead, focusing on scalability, security, and reliability.
Implement and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript or Go
Develop serverless solutions leveraging GCP services, including Cloud Run and Cloud Functions.
Integrate with external APIs and third-party payment gateways, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange.
Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and ensure high code quality.
Collaborate with the Backend Team Lead and other engineers to optimize performance and ensure low latency.
Debug and resolve issues in a timely manner to maintain system reliability.
Contribute to the development of CI/CD pipelines using GCP Cloud Build.
Follow secure coding practices and ensure compliance with PCI-DSS standards.

Required Skills

3+ years of experience .
Node.js and TypeScript or Go proficiency with a focus on backend development.
Experience with serverless architectures using Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and related GCP services.
Familiarity with Cloud SQL, Spanner, Pub/Sub, and other GCP tools.
Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha.
Understanding of API security best practices, including OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
Experience with integrating third-party APIs and payment gateways.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
Familiarity with fin-tech, payment orchestration, or high-throughput transaction systems is a plus.
