Staff Software Engineer, AI-Native Development

Thriveworks is a leading mental health care company building AI-powered solutions that improve how care is delivered. We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to help lead the development of AI-driven products, including clinical documentation tools, AI-assisted chat experiences, and workflow automation solutions.

What You'll Do

• Lead architecture and technical decisions across a production TypeScript codebase.
• Build and scale applications using NestJS (backend) and Next.js (frontend).
• Drive adoption of AI-native development practices and workflows.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver impactful solutions.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript, including backend and frontend development.
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, or similar as a core part of your workflow.
• Strong system design, architecture, and technical leadership skills.
• Ability to balance speed, quality, and risk in production environments.
