Founding Design Engineer (AI-Native Frontend + Product)

Leorna is an early-stage startup building a centralized big-data platform that gives AI agents persistent, long-term "forever" memory. We're pre-funding and moving fast toward our raise and go-to-market. We're looking for a founding design engineer who uses AI to design and ship beautiful, working applications at startup speed.

About the role

You are a hybrid product designer and frontend engineer who treats AI as your primary tool. You go from idea to polished, interactive product fast: designing the UX and building the frontend yourself, with AI doing the heavy lifting. You care about craft, speed, and shipping real things people love.

What you'll do

- Design and build product UI end to end, from concept and wireframes to production frontend.

- Use AI-native tools (Claude, Claude Design, v0, Figma, Cursor, and similar) to go from idea to working app in hours, not weeks.

- Own the frontend stack and the design system, and keep it fast, clean, and consistent.

- Partner directly with the founder and engineering on product direction.

- Prototype, test, and iterate quickly based on real user feedback.

What we're looking for

- Strong product and UI design sense AND solid frontend engineering (React/TypeScript or similar).

- Fluent with AI design-and-build tools, and you already build with them every day.

- A portfolio of shipped, polished interfaces you both designed and coded.

- Startup mindset: fast, scrappy, high ownership, comfortable with ambiguity.

Requirements

- You currently hold an active premium AI subscription of at least $200/month (for example Claude Max, ChatGPT Pro, or equivalent) and use it daily.

- This is an equity-only role in the early stage, with cash compensation added after we close funding.
