Overview

GovCIO is hiring an experienced Lead software engineer to manage application processes and maintenance for complex conceptual data at the Department of Veterans Affairs. This role requires expertise in C#, .NET, JavaScript, and SQL Server, with responsibilities including software maintenance and system enhancements. This position is fully remote within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts for applications managing complex conceptual data inC#, .NET, and SQL Serverenvironments.
• Design, develop, andoptimizeSQL databases, including queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies for performance tuning.
• Conduct research and recommend emerging technologies to improve efficiency.
• ExpertiseinReact, .NET, SQL Server, and Angulardevelopment.
• Proven ability totroubleshoot and resolvecomplex software issues efficiently.
• Experience inleading application conversionsand modernizing legacy systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
• Support software integration and compatibility across various platforms.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering with 12+ years of experience or equivalent professional experience
• Strong knowledge of software maintenance methodologies, including DevOps.
• Proficiency in SQL database management, query optimization, and stored procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate in a team environment.

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Knowledge of machine learning and AI frameworks is a plus.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipeline development and automation.
• Strong understanding of security protocols and data protection.
• Familiarity with IoT, embedded systems, and real-time data processing.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $150,000.00 - USD $185,000.00 /Yr.
