About Our Team

Lenovo’s Intelligent Devices Group (IDG) AI Ecosystem Team is seeking a Director, AI Experience Engineering

As Director, AI Experience Engineering, you will lead Lenovo’s AI Experience Layer, the user-facing engineering teams responsible for delivering AI-powered applications and cross-device experiences across PCs, tablets, and smartphones.

This includes engineering cross-device continuity features, building Windows and Android native experiences, and implementing design systems in partnership with product and design. The focus is on ensuring that Lenovo’s AI ecosystem comes to life through intuitive, performant, and trustworthy applications that scale to millions of users worldwide.

What You'll Do

  • Lead engineering teams that deliver AI-powered experiences across Windows, Android, and cross-device platforms.
  • Partner with product and design leadership to translate design systems and interaction concepts into production applications.
  • Ensure AI experiences are built with performance, accessibility, multimodal interaction, and user trust as core principles.
  • Deliver cross-device features that unify context and continuity across PCs, phones, and tablets.
  • Collaborate with AI Systems, Knowledge, Model, and Reliability engineering leaders to integrate AI services into user-facing applications.
  • Establish standards and best practices for UI performance, security, and observability in AI-driven applications.
  • Grow and mentor a globally distributed engineering team, fostering strong technical and delivery culture.
  • Operate in a scaled agile environment to ensure predictable delivery and alignment across multiple teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong background in UI and UX engineering and user-facing applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of delivering cross-platform user experiences across PC, mobile, or multi-device ecosystems.
  • Experience working with modern frameworks and technologies such as Flutter/Dart, Kotlin/Java, KMP Compose, C#, H5, and WebView.
  • Deep knowledge of user interface frameworks, application performance, and cross-device continuity.
  • Strong understanding of AI-driven experiences including personalization, multimodal interaction, and contextual awareness.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with product and design to deliver polished, user-centric applications.
  • Experience leading globally distributed teams in agile or scaled agile environments.
  • Recognized as a leader who can balance user experience vision with engineering execution at scale.

The base salary budgeted range for this position is $220K - $320K. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission.
