Learning Experience Designer

Job Summary

We are pleased to announce the growth of our Global Audiology Training & Education Team and invite a new Learning Experience Designer (LXD) to join our collaborative group. We seek a motivated individual who thrives in a team environment and is committed to developing engaging learning materials for a global audience.

As a Learning Experience Designer at GN, you'll play a pivotal role in our mission to Bring People Closer. You'll collaborate with a skilled team and diverse stakeholders across the organization to design and create immersive, compelling learning experiences. Your innovative solutions will engage both internal colleagues and external customers, including Hearing Care Professionals, highlighting our advanced assistive hearing technology. Your projects will span from comprehensive course development and microlearning modules to job aids, learning assessment tools, and evaluations of learning effectiveness. Anticipate participating in stimulating projects like new product launches, updates, and software releases that will significantly influence our audience.

Primary Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Apply current instructional design theory, research, and best practices to create effective and engaging training products, learning experiences, and workshops.
  • Manage instructional design projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals.
  • Utilize structured project plans, timelines, and track progress using project management tools for training delivery.
  • Attend regular project status meetings and provide updates to your manager as needed.
  • Assess learner needs and create learning solutions that address business goals and support sales metrics, including e-learning courses, blended learning, microlearning, simulations, gamification, guides, process documentation, infographics, job aids, and coaching.
  • Contribute to necessary planning documents such as training plans and storyboards.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content and ensure instructional material accuracy and relevance.
  • Utilize technology to enhance and create immersive, interactive, and accessible learning experiences, including audio, video, simulations, and gamification.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements.
  • Build assessments to gauge the attainment of critical skills and abilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, training and development, instructional design, communication, or related areas.
  • Tenured experience with instructional design and eLearning development.
  • Advanced proficiency developing in Articulate 360 tools (including Rise & Storyline).
  • Proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Audition, Acrobat, Illustrator) and Articulate 360 tools (Rise, Storyline).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating xAPI-enabled content for deployment in a learning experience platform (LXP).
  • Experience in creating and editing videos and software simulations for eLearning.
  • Administrator experience with LearnUpon.
  • Experience developing learning solutions for a global audience; adjusting materials based on cultural needs, regional constraints, and translation and localization.
  • Experience using Airtable and Asana for project planning and database management.
  • Experience using data analytics tools and building dashboards.

Pay Transparency Notice

  • The target annual compensation for this position can range from $85,000.00-$105,000.00, with a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of the fiscal year-end.
  • Compensation for roles at GN depends on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
  • To remain competitive, GN offers a competitive benefits package, including annual bonuses, health insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid vacation and holidays.
