Job Description

This is a fully remote, long-term contract opportunity with a national organization leading the charge in tolling and transportation infrastructure. The team operates at the intersection of technology, public-private partnerships, and customer experience—leveraging cutting-edge data strategy to drive smarter, faster, and more efficient mobility solutions.

They’re currently seeking a Business Data Analyst with a strong hybrid background across data engineering, business systems, and analytics. This person will serve as a critical bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders—supporting digital transformation efforts through clean data pipelines, stakeholder insights, system documentation, and user training.

Contract duration: 6 months

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of experience in data analysis, development, or database administration
Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle)
Experience with data modeling, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing best practices
Proven ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical deliverables
Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking
Clear, confident communicator with executive-level presentation skills
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Able to work independently while navigating cross-functional priorities

Desired Skills & Experience

Experience working in high-volume transaction environments (e.g. transportation, tolling, payments)
Familiarity with cloud database platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Scripting experience in Python, R, or similar languages
Exposure to SDLC and Agile environments
Comfort working with external vendors or outsourced service teams

Analyze and interpret large datasets to support business decisions
Develop data validation processes and support governance initiatives
Lead user testing, system walkthroughs, and documentation
Identify opportunities for process improvement and digital transformation
Translate non-technical business needs into functional data-driven solutions
Serve as a liaison between IT, business units, and external partners
