We’re looking for an engineer to join the development of our events platform. You’ll continue to add and set the direction for our event product architecture, payments and integrations.

The Role

We’re hiring a Staff Software Engineer to join our core team. You’ll work directly with the founders to design, build, and scale the systems that power Ledge—from event infrastructure, APIs and payments to social features and creator tools.

You’ll be taking ownership of projects end-to-end, making technical decisions, and shaping the product alongside us.

What You’ll Do

• Define the technical architecture and roadmap for Ledge product offerings
• Build, maintain, and secure core backend systems (Golang, Postgres, GraphQL + REST APIs, AWS).
• Integrate with third-party game and social APIs (Riot Games, Blizzard/ Activision, Epic Games, Discord, Twitch and more.).
• Design scalable event infrastructure for payment processing, ticketing, raffles, leaderboards, and more.
• Provide guidance, mentor and coach your team members in development best practices to help them grow as developers, leaders and people
• Collaborate on product decisions that directly impact UX and adoption.
• Ship fast, learn fast, and help us reach scale.

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of production-level software engineering experience (startup experience and gaming background is a plus)
• Strong skills with Golang, PostgresSQL, and AWS (or similar).
• Experience with payments and payment integrations
• Experience with API design and 3rd party API integrations
• Familiarity with authentication and security: JWT, OAuth 2.0, webhook security
• Knowledge of clean architecture, domain driven design, test driven development
• Entrepreneurial mindset—you like product ownership, problem-solving, and moving quickly
• Passion for online culture, consumer apps and building products that communities love
• Leadership mentality focused on collaboration and team alignment
