If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, we have an exciting opportunity for a Field Project Manager within our Specialty Welding & Machining business unit. This is a remote position, based out of Manning, SC, that can be performed from anywhere within the United States.
Your Day-to-Day
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in applicable disciplines: Project Management, Engineering, Science, Construction Management, or a related technical degree or equivalent non-degreed technical experience in an industrial environment (field service, nuclear, power plant, NDE, oil/gas, construction).
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Project Management or Engineering.
3 years of project management experience or 2 years of project management/supervisory experience and 2+ years of technical field experience (e.g., field service, nuclear, power plant, Non-Destructive Examination (NDE), oil/gas, construction industry) may be considered as equivalent.
5+ years of applicable Project Management experience preferred, specifically in the areas of Construction Management, Feedwater Heater/Heat Exchanger replacements, and working with union represented craft workforce.
Experience leading field-based projects, particularly at nuclear plants, during outages, and in accordance with NQA-1 and both Safety and Non-Safety Related Quality Programs.
Leadership and hands-on field experience with both non-union and union represented workforce for pipe fitting, boilermakers, machinists, welding systems, and nuclear system piping repairs.
Understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI®)’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) required. PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification, ability to become PMP® certified, or other approved equivalent project management, Six-Sigma, or Lean certification is highly desired.
Westinghouse Project Manager (PM) qualification completed or in process. The successful candidate will be required to complete the Westinghouse PM qualification within a designated time period.
Strong interpersonal skills, such as effective verbal and written communications; ability to lead team members; ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and ability to make decisions and carry out multiple tasks as assigned, with minimal guidance from Management and mentors.
Demonstrated ability or understanding of the transformation of data to information for reporting; High-quality presentation skills and proven track record interfacing with high-level utility Executives and CNO.
Experience with SAP, Primavera (P6), Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint, and Active Risk Manager desired.
Experience managing highly technical engineering projects in a highly regulated industry.
