We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Product Designer to join our Design team. At LaunchGood, we believe that great products start with deep empathy. As part of our design team, you won’t just design for users — you’ll design with them. You’ll connect directly with donors and fundraisers to uncover insights, validate ideas, and champion their needs every step of the way.

Overview

We’re looking for a hybrid Senior Product Designer & Design Manager to both lead by example in craft and elevate others through mentorship. This role combines hands-on product design with team leadership, ideal for someone passionate about shaping impactful experiences while nurturing a high-performing design team.

This is a 10-month contract role to cover a maternity leave, but you’ll play a critical role in shaping our product and design culture during that time.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Product Designer

Own end-to-end design work across web and mobile—from discovery to high-fidelity UI.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and detailed design specs that balance user needs and business goals.
Develop and maintain scalable, accessible UI using design systems and reusable components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on strategy and execution.
Provide clean developer handoffs with structured Figma files or HTML/CSS annotations.
Contribute to the evolution and documentation of our design system.

As a Design Manager

Manage and mentor a team of designers and researchers through 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development.
Facilitate design critiques, team rituals, and process improvements that strengthen design quality and team cohesion.
Support hiring and onboarding, and foster an inclusive, growth-oriented team culture.
Advocate for design excellence and user-first thinking across the organization.

What We’re Looking For

6–8+ years of product design experience, with 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
A portfolio that demonstrates strategic thinking and end-to-end product design.
Strong visual and interaction design skills, with fluency in Figma and familiarity with responsive and accessible design.
Solid understanding of front-end development (HTML/CSS); Tailwind experience is a plus.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Comfortable balancing hands-on work with team leadership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
