Director of Sales & Marketing
The Director of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for building and managing a high-performance sales pipeline from lead generation through award. This leader will unify and optimize sales strategies across the company’s four divisions while expanding brand presence and executing strategic growth initiatives. The Director will report to the CEO and a key member of the Executive Team, will work to foster a solutions-oriented culture, building strategic relationships, and delivering customer-centric value across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the full sales funnel from lead generation through customer award across four divisions.
- Manage a national team of outside sales representatives, ensuring alignment with company strategy and division-level needs.
- Collaborate with shared services to automate and streamline sales processes, including effective utilization of CRM systems for tracking leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
- Standardize the sales process across business units while preserving flexibility to tailor solutions for individual customers.
- Partner with divisional engineering and plant teams to deliver value-added technical solutions and support accurate quoting.
- Work with engineering and purchasing to build and maintain strong relationships with external tool and die makers, finishing vendors, and assembly subcontractors.
- Oversee the quoting function, including management of cost estimators and administrative support staff.
- Lead the company’s marketing strategy, including digital advertising, SEO, social media, and content development.
- Maintain a modern, competitive, and high-performing website focused on visibility and lead generation.
- Serve as the steward of the company’s brand — ensuring consistency, strength, and clarity across all platforms.
- Execute strategic initiatives related to market growth, new product focus areas, and expansion into adjacent customer segments.
- Maintain awareness of market dynamics, customer trends, and emerging technologies in the die casting and manufacturing sectors.
- Contribute as a core member of the Executive Team, collaborating on company-wide initiatives and long-term strategy.
- Cultivate and strengthen strategic relationships across customers, suppliers, and employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development, preferably in manufacturing or complex supply chain environments.
- Demonstrated success leading a distributed sales team and managing complex sales pipelines to closure.
- Experience collaborating with engineering and operations teams to deliver integrated customer solutions.
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L experience and an understanding of profitability levers.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
