Your mission
As a Product Manager – Payment Integrations (LATAM) at our Payment Service Provider (PSP), you will be our core technical problem-solver for active payment integrations. Your primary focus is driving operational health across our LATAM routes: investigating API failures, troubleshooting payload and endpoint errors, and collaborating directly with regional payment suppliers to resolve integration issues fast. You will take technical ownership of active provider connections—ensuring Webhooks fire reliably, API updates roll out seamlessly, and root causes of payment drop-offs are permanently fixed.
Responsibilities
- Investigate, isolate, and drive resolutions for API bugs, broken webhooks, payload mismatches, and unexpected response codes across active supplier routes.
- Maintain fast, proactive communication channels with supplier tech support and engineering teams to coordinate fixes and clear bottlenecks.
- Leverage RESTful validation tools (e.g., Postman, Insomnia) to test endpoints, verify schemas, inspect headers, and reproduce integration errors.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for internal operations and support teams when transaction errors or connectivity drops occur.
- Track provider API deprecations, schema changes, and mandatory version upgrades, translating them into technical specs for engineering.
- Draft clear technical briefs and Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) for engineering to deploy patches, update error-handling, or integrate version updates.
- Document provider-specific nuances, known failure modes, error mappings, and workarounds in Confluence.
Required Skills
- Experience in B2B payments, payment gateways, or PSP environments with a strong focus on technical support, integration management, or technical product management.
- Proven ability to trace root causes in API communications, payload schemas, and webhook flows.
- Hands-on experience reading RESTful API documentation and using testing tools (Postman, Insomnia, or similar) to inspect requests, responses, and headers.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for issue tracking, ticketing, and documentation.
- Full professional fluency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken).
- Outstanding ability to explain complex technical bugs clearly to external partners and internal developers.
