UI/UX Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a UI/UX Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will bridge user-centered design and front-end engineering to deliver intuitive, accessible digital experiences for enterprise and government users. You will collaborate closely with product, research, and development partners to turn insights into high-quality interfaces that perform well in an Agile environment. The position emphasizes responsive implementation, design consistency, and adherence to federal digital and accessibility standards.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $128,039 – $173,229 annually

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate UX research into actionable design specifications
• Translate high-fidelity prototypes into responsive front-end applications using React
• Ensure designs comply with human-centered design principles and federal digital service standards
• Define and enforce UI/UX and front-end coding standards
• Evaluate designs for usability and accessibility compliance
• Support iterative design through rapid prototyping within Agile sprints
• Guide UI consistency and interaction design with the development team

Qualifications

• 9+ years of related experience in UI/UX design, with a focus on enterprise or government applications
• Strong proficiency in React and front-end development tools like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Human-Centered Design (HCD) principles
• Proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Axure
• Knowledge of accessibility standards like Section 508 and WCAG compliance
