For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer Media Experiences to join the team of a leader in the Media space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Media environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $217,000 – $303,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of scalable media processing and delivery infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance media consumption opportunities
- Build and optimize backend services for media ingestion and processing
- Develop AI integration strategies for media recommendations and content understanding
- Establish engineering best practices and define service-level objectives for media operations
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, translating product needs into technical plans
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools for accelerated design and coding
Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with leadership in a Technical Lead or Staff Engineer role
- Expertise in distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and microservices
- Strong communication skills for influencing technical direction and negotiating trade-offs
- Experience leading large, cross-functional engineering initiatives with a focus on technical excellence
- Ability to translate complex product requirements into practical technical strategies
