For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Frontend Web Development to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a consumer-facing environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $143,000 – $286,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable platform capabilities
- Drive full software development lifecycle activities including coding and maintenance
- Ensure systems adhere to cloud-native architecture principles
- Mentor engineering teams to promote technical excellence
- Conduct system design reviews for quality assurance
- Build AI-driven applications and integrate machine learning components
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine technical requirements and enhance development processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 4 years of experience in software engineering or related area (6 years preferred)
- Proficiency in cloud-native architecture, microservices, and containerization
- Experience leading full software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities
- Strong skills in API design, software design patterns, and optimization
- Ability to mentor engineers and influence technical decisions
- Effective communication skills for collaboration across diverse teams
