For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer Finance Technology (remote) to join the team of a leader in the Food & Beverages space. This role will support financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a Food & Beverages environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $184,000 – $232,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Architect the Finance Technology platform encompassing pay-ins, payouts, invoicing, and taxes
- Define APIs and contracts for Finance Technology services across all channels
- Lead end-to-end initiatives, collaborating with Product and delivering code
- Evaluate emerging finance technology providers and trends
- Drive innovation and experimentation within the AI-native software development lifecycle
- Collaborate with senior technical leaders to standardize practices
- Facilitate design discussions and align teams on architectural decisions
- Work with Platform Engineering on shared services and CI/CD
Qualifications
- 8+ years of backend development experience with languages like Go or Ruby on Rails
- Proven track record as a technical lead on multi-team projects, overseeing architecture and timelines
- Extensive experience in payment processing and payout systems for high-volume applications
- Hands-on familiarity with modern payment service providers like Stripe and Adyen
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Temporal
- Strong commitment to quality, including security, automated testing, and CI/CD practices
- Excellent communication skills for system design and collaboration
