For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer AI Native to join the team of a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a healthcare environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $200,000 – $240,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop high-performance RESTful APIs
- Collaborate to create user-centric web applications
- Define data models and manage databases with a focus on performance
- Direct AI agents throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Design agent workflows using AI-native tools
- Configure prompt engineering patterns and schemas
- Trace and debug AI tool interactions and output
- Document architecture, design, and maintenance processes
- Estimate tasks for effective sprint planning
- Respond to production issues in an on-call rotation
- Mentor junior engineers in AI-native practices
Qualifications
- 8+ years experience with complex code bases
- Full Stack development skills
- Proficiency in Java, Go, or Python
- REST API design expertise
- High proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles
- Experience with AI-native coding tools
- Working knowledge of prompt engineering concepts
