For our client, we are seeking a Staff Product Manager - Datastores (postgres Specialist) to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will shape product priorities that connect customer needs, business goals, and practical execution. You will partner with engineering, design, analytics, and go-to-market teams to define opportunities, prioritize work, and deliver measurable product outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to influence roadmap direction while improving customer experience and business performance within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $130,000 – $180,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision and strategy for the company’s datastores centered on Postgres
  • Prioritize data investments by balancing foundational reliability and product needs
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure optimal architectural decisions for performance and reliability
  • Advocate for the evolution of managed Postgres to accommodate emerging AI workloads
  • Establish developer standards for managing databases with minimal DBA involvement

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in Product Management, primarily focused on databases or data infrastructure
  • Familiarity with Postgres architecture and operational challenges in production environments
  • Strong empathy for developers, understanding both internal and customer needs
  • Experience turning ambiguous reliability challenges into clear product strategies
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills
