For our client, we are seeking a Staff Forecasting Data Scientist to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a healthcare environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $202,400 – $253,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Design and automate the company’s enrollment forecasting engine to improve reliability and reduce manual effort
- Translate commercial planning needs into scalable forecasting models, collaborating with sales and finance teams
- Establish best practices for model development, monitoring, and performance in forecasting processes
- Experiment with new data and techniques to enhance forecast accuracy over time
- Serve as the technical leader in data forecasting, guiding tools and mentoring fellow data scientists
- Take ownership of the technical implementation of base forecasting, allowing leadership to focus on strategy
Qualifications
- 8+ years in data science or applied statistics; 3+ years in forecasting, time series modeling, or revenue forecasting
- Proficient in Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn) and SQL, with experience in deploying mixed models
- Strong understanding of statistical/machine learning forecasting methods
- Experience designing production-level data science systems with data engineering teams
- Skilled at handling messy commercial data and creating robust data pipelines
- Ability to translate business problems into technical tasks and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
- Proven success in influencing cross-functional teams with data-driven insights
