Staff Data Scientist - RiskOS

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Data Scientist - Riskos to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $130,000 – $180,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced analytics for RiskOS data to identify user behavior and fraud patterns
• Build scalable data pipelines and ML workflows in partnership with data engineering
• Design and execute experimentation frameworks to enhance RiskOS functionalities
• Create Generative AI solutions for analytics automation and case reviews
• Establish evaluation frameworks for AI solutions, focusing on safety and impact
• Collaborate with engineering to build essential data science infrastructure
• Own the deployment of production-grade solutions with metrics for performance

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a relevant quantitative field or equivalent experience
• 6+ years in data science, ML, or data engineering with a focus on fraud prevention
• Strong hands-on experience with Generative AI in production settings
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with ML frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch
• Experience deploying scalable data pipelines and ML models in production environments
• Solid understanding of data engineering principles including ETL and distributed computing
• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
