Staff Data Scientist | Modeling

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Data Scientist | Modeling to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a Technical Services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Analyze clinical and coding audits to inform model improvements
• Develop and advance machine learning models targeting claims for optimized auditing
• Measure and assess model performance, translating insights for client application
• Refine complex data pipelines for enhanced modeling capability
• Enhance tools and infrastructure to improve team efficiency and decision-making
• Collaborate with clients and experts to ensure model alignment with business needs

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in data science or related field
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with large-scale data handling
• Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages
• Experience building ML models from scratch, ideally with Neural Nets or Tree-ensembles
• Solid understanding of model performance metrics and optimization methodologies
