For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer Patient Platform (backend) to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a healthcare environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000 annually

Responsibilities

Lead the design and architecture of scalable back-end solutions that enhance user experience
Provide mentorship to engineers on best practices and coding standards
Advocate for technical needs and priorities within the engineering workflow
Participate in product discovery to assess feasibility and validate ideas
Collaborate with engineering teams for seamless integration across systems
Contribute to technical vision, identifying strategic technologies for the platform
Drive successful project outcomes by breaking down complex tasks

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a software engineer working with production code
3+ years of experience designing and delivering back-end distributed systems
3+ years of experience in microservice architectures
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Proven experience building scalable web applications in a cloud environment
Proficiency with Kubernetes and AWS for hosting services
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
