For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer Applications to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $140,000 – $180,000 annually

Responsibilities

Shape product development through hands-on engineering
Design and implement core applications and critical services
Establish quality thresholds and release criteria like reliability and user trust
Define best practices for AI-assisted coding
Build end-to-end product capabilities with a focus on integration
Utilize coding tools for rapid prototyping and documentation
Collaborate with teams for production readiness and technical performance

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience with technical leadership skills
Experience building production distributed systems and backend services
Proficient in Python and experienced with Next.js/TypeScript
Fluent in AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) including context management and prompt strategies
Strong system design skills, particularly in APIs and data integration
Expertise in observability and operational excellence
Background in automated testing and CI/CD tooling
Familiarity with healthcare SaaS environments and multi-tenant architectures
