Sr. Data Scientist, Payments

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Data Scientist Payments to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a Business Services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $152,500 – $205,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the payments team to design and develop data tables and dashboards
• Conduct strategic analyses to uncover opportunities for business improvements
• Create data visualizations to effectively communicate findings
• Build automated solutions using SQL and dashboards for team efficiency
• Effectively communicate insights and narratives to organizational leaders
• Develop problem-solving and quantitative analytics skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a quantitative field such as Finance or Mathematics
• Strong analytical skills with advanced SQL proficiency
• Good communication skills for cross-organizational partnerships
• Strong business sense and ability to navigate complex requirements
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or similar
• Prior experience in payments or cryptocurrency is highly desirable
