For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Backend Software Engineer, Fleetnet to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will drive meaningful impact across key initiatives and partner cross-functionally to deliver measurable outcomes. You will work closely with stakeholders to execute against strategic priorities and scale performance. The position offers the opportunity to influence both strategy and execution in a high-growth environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $140,000 – $252,000 annually

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable, high-availability mission-critical systems and APIs
Drive migration of distributed fleet applications to cloud-native microservices
Solve complex problems through distributed, asynchronous messaging
Collaborate closely with product, SRE, and infrastructure teams
Mentor junior engineers as a senior team member

Qualifications

5+ years of experience building SaaS applications in a service-oriented architecture
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or relevant experience
Proficiency in modern web development frameworks, preferable Golang or Ruby/Rails
Demonstrated success with scalable web applications and messaging systems
Experience with web security best practices
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and mentorship
