For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer II Fedramp (remote Eligible) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead technical work focused on secure, reliable systems and risk-aware execution. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $125,000 – $175,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture interviews to ensure compliance with FedRamp requirements
- Develop briefing documents to inform stakeholders about FedRamp requirements and technical capabilities
- Support Continuous Monitoring activities including annual package submissions and risk acceptance documents
- Interpret FedRamp and agency requirements and guide internal teams
- Stay current with FedRamp guidance, industry best practices, and cybersecurity directives
- Assist in designing and maintaining secure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Write code to automate security tasks and manage vulnerabilities
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National status for federal compliance
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of IT Security experience with 2 years as System Architect or Security Engineer
- 2 years of experience with FedRAMP programs
- Proficient in one programming or scripting language (Python, Java, or Bash)
- Familiarity with cloud concepts, preferably AWS and Terraform
- Strong understanding of security concepts, especially OWASP Top 10
