For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer Backend to join the team of a leader in the Hospitals & Medical Centers space. As a Software Engineer Backend, you’ll design, build, and maintain systems that are critical to how Hospitals & Medical Centers customers experience our client’s solutions. You’ll partner with product and other engineers to solve complex problems, improve performance, and raise the quality bar over time. Location: Remote

Compensation: $200,000 – $400,000 annually.

Responsibilities

Write high-quality backend services using Node/NestJS and frontend experiences with React and TypeScript
Develop reusable components for web and mobile applications, contributing to cleaner codebases
Manage the entire software development lifecycle, from design through to deployment and support
Collaborate with product managers and clients to understand requirements and improve solutions based on feedback
Participate in a remote-first culture, ensuring effective communication within a distributed team
Contribute to a customer-centric approach by tackling tech debt and brainstorming new features
Engage in on-call rotations to maintain system reliability and respond to issues

Qualifications

5+ years in software development, focusing on web or mobile applications
Proficient in TypeScript, React, and Node/NestJS, or similar technologies
Experience in deploying and supporting services in production
Strong skills in integration and end-to-end testing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration
Empathy for customers and a drive to understand their needs
