For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer 5 - Research Data Products to join the team of a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space. This role will drive meaningful impact across key initiatives and partner cross-functionally to deliver measurable outcomes. You will work closely with stakeholders to execute against strategic priorities and scale performance. The position offers the opportunity to influence both strategy and execution in a high-growth environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $388,000 – $558,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Solve complex business needs through software engineering and analytical skills
  • Design and build scalable distributed infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers and product managers
  • Contribute to open source community and the company OSS
  • Develop integrations with various data platforms
  • Support research and experimentation systems
  • Create libraries and SDKs to enhance functionality of existing systems

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years experience in software engineering
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python or Spark
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Strong understanding of privacy-preserving techniques
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with JVM languages such as Java or Scala
  • Strong background in building scalable systems for data products
