This role will shape intuitive digital experiences by guiding UX and product design from discovery through implementation. The Senior UX/UI Designer will partner closely with stakeholders and users to uncover needs, translate complex workflows into elegant solutions, and ensure designs support usability, accessibility, and scalability. This position will also contribute to design system governance and mentor other designers to raise the quality and consistency of the team’s work.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $105,000 – $150,180 annually

Responsibilities

Lead the UX and product design process from discovery to implementation
Facilitate stakeholder and user interviews, workshops, and ideation sessions
Translate complex public health workflows into intuitive digital experiences
Create personas, journey maps, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs
Develop and maintain a scalable design system based on established standards
Conduct usability testing and provide actionable design recommendations
Mentor junior designers through coaching and critiques

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant design field or equivalent experience
10+ years of professional experience in UX/UI and product design
Current human-centered design and UX certifications from recognized organizations
Certified ScrumMaster or equivalent Agile certification
Expert proficiency in Figma for design and prototyping
Experience creating and governing enterprise design systems, preferably using USWDS
Strong knowledge of accessibility standards, including Section 508 and WCAG
