Senior Technical Game Designer, Game Prototypes

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Technical Game Designer Game Prototypes to join the team of a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a healthcare environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $170,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Contribute design expertise across a variety of game genres for diverse projects
• Create clear game design documents that communicate design intent effectively
• Develop playable prototypes by implementing designs in Unreal Engine 5 with Blueprint
• Collaborate with artists, engineers, and producers to enhance gameplay features

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in technical or lead game design roles across different genres
• Expertise in Unreal Engine 5 with advanced skills in Blueprint implementation
• Strong ability to create clear, detailed game design documentation and specifications
• Broad knowledge of various game genres and their core design elements
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, prototype-first environment
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex design concepts to diverse teams
• Active engagement with the gaming community to inform design perspectives
