Senior Systems Software Engineer, Base OS - Kernel

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Systems Software Engineer Base OS - Kernel to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. You’ll build and maintain systems that power mission-critical Telecommunications & Hardware workflows. You’ll collaborate with product and peers to design clean, scalable solutions. This role values craftsmanship, impact, and ownership.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $184,000 – $356,500 annually.

Responsibilities

• Drive the enablement of the superchip for enterprise customers
• Act as a primary technical point of contact for Tier-1 customers
• Solve complex kernel challenges for massive-scale deployments
• Lead the bring-up of new platforms from pre-silicon to production
• Design and implement automated test suites for kernel validation
• Anticipate future architectural challenges for scalable solutions

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, EE, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of professional experience in Linux kernel development or low-level systems
• Expert-level C programming skills with knowledge of concurrency and synchronization
• Strong knowledge of core OS concepts like memory management and process scheduling
• Collaborative attitude with a team-first approach to engineering
