This role will focus on building and improving the systems that help protect users and maintain a safe online experience. You will own the development of user-facing and backend capabilities that support safety operations, while partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver effective, scalable solutions. The work will also involve enhancing internal tools and adapting quickly to evolving abuse, risk, and compliance needs.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $196,000 – $245,000 annually

Responsibilities

Lead the development of user-facing products to enhance safety.
Design, build, and deploy production APIs and backend services for safety features.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop impactful safety solutions.
Iterate and improve internal tools to optimize Trust & Safety workflows.
Respond swiftly to changing abuse and compliance scenarios.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Python with API frameworks such as Flask and Django.
5+ years of front-end development experience using JavaScript, React, and TypeScript.
Familiarity with databases including Cassandra, Postgres, and ScyllaDB.
Proven track record of leading complex projects from start to finish.
Strong troubleshooting and system debugging skills in production environments.
Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities with diverse teams.
Experience using metrics and dashboards for data-driven insights.
