Senior Software Engineer, Product Platform

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Product Platform to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will focus on building the shared systems and foundational services that enable engineering teams to move faster and ship with confidence. You will collaborate closely with product engineering partners to shape APIs, services, and platform capabilities that improve developer experience and support scalable growth. The work will also involve influencing architecture, strengthening engineering standards, and contributing to a high-quality technical culture as the organization expands.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $135,000 – $160,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable systems and shared libraries for engineering teams
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to create effective APIs and services
• Influence architecture and drive technical decisions with a focus on developer satisfaction
• Establish and maintain engineering standards for shared components across systems
• Engage in code review and design discussions to enhance overall engineering quality
• Create and maintain thorough documentation for systems and libraries developed
• Help cultivate the engineering culture as the team scales

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend or fullstack software engineering experience, focusing on platform or shared infrastructure
• Experience building APIs and services used across multiple engineering teams
• Familiarity with distributed systems and event-driven architecture
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Proven track record of delivering maintainable code and making sound architectural decisions
• Open to leveraging AI technologies to enhance productivity and execution
