For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Pricing to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $166,900 – $230,900 annually

Responsibilities

Lead the development of scalable services for real-time pricing across product lines
Collaborate with product managers and data scientists to translate business needs into technical solutions
Drive architectural improvements for responsiveness to growth and new product needs
Mentor engineers and promote best practices in design and operations
Ensure pricing engine quality through thorough testing and code reviews
Champion enhancements in developer experience, automation, and platform resilience

Qualifications

5+ years of software development experience with scalable public or consumer-facing products
Proficiency in Python with experience in Java or Kotlin
Track record of independently delivering complex engineering projects in fast-paced environments
Experience with designing scalable APIs and microservices on cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)
Strong problem-solving skills focused on scalability, performance, and reliability
Excellent communication skills for conveying complex topics to varied audiences
Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction
