For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a consumer-facing environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $117,000 – $234,000 annually

Responsibilities

Designed and developed highly scalable services to solve complex software system challenges
Provided technical direction and architectural leadership across engineering teams
Drove high-visibility, cross-organizational projects from concept to delivery
Collaborated with cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects on time
Conducted unit testing, debugged issues, and implemented fixes to improve system reliability

Qualifications

8+ years of experience building highly available backend systems in Java
Proficiency in RESTful microservices and API design/development
Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, BigQuery)
Experience with caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached
Strong coding skills focused on modular, maintainable code
