For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Orchestration & Job Execution to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $119,000 – $153,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver backend services, APIs, and shared libraries for cloud platform capabilities
- Build and improve orchestration systems for job execution tracking and operational visibility
- Develop reliable asynchronous systems utilizing queues and messaging
- Work on distributed execution flows including service-to-service communication and failure recovery
- Build and maintain cloud-native runtime infrastructure with containers and Kubernetes
- Integrate platform services with persistence layers and REST APIs
- Enhance production reliability with metrics, logging, health checks, and incident follow-ups
- Lead technical design discussions and review code with a systems mindset
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with ownership of production backend services or distributed systems
- Strong experience in backend services using TypeScript/Node.js or core languages like Go, Java, or Rust
- Experience in designing asynchronous, queue-driven, or event-driven systems
- Familiarity with durable persistence, service contracts, and RESTful APIs integrations
- Experience in cloud-native infrastructure including Kubernetes and operational debugging
- Strong production engineering ownership and practices including observability and incident response
- Ability to lead design discussions and mentor engineers on team best practices
