For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. You’ll build and maintain systems that power mission-critical Finance & Insurance workflows. You’ll collaborate with product and peers to design clean, scalable solutions. This role values craftsmanship, impact, and ownership.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $195,000 – $215,000 annually.

Responsibilities

Collaborate early with Product, Design, and engineering teams to clarify goals and recommend technical approaches
Create detailed technical approach documents outlining architecture, execution plans, and trade-offs
Guide engineering teams in executing agreed technical approaches ensuring high-quality delivery
Own backend-heavy initiatives while contributing to frontend features as needed
Propose strong architectural ideas and influence the system direction
Mentor mid-level and senior engineers to elevate technical standards
Identify improvements for system stability, performance, and engineering practices

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software engineering experience in full stack development
Proven experience in shaping product direction and technical strategy from concept to delivery
Proficiency in Python/Django, PostgreSQL, and React/TypeScript
Strong system design skills focusing on scalability, performance, and security
Experience with complex systems (e.g., financial ledgers, multi-system data syncs, decision engines)
Comfortable working in cloud-based environments (AWS preferred) and CI/CD workflows
