For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer Infra - Compute Platform to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $186,065 – $218,900 annually

Responsibilities

Own the design and operation of Kubernetes cluster management tooling
Build developer-facing tooling to enhance interactions with Kubernetes
Deliver new compute capabilities for service owners, including scheduling and deployment strategies
Drive operational excellence by automating tasks and improving observability
Collaborate with Security and Reliability teams to meet performance standards

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years with Kubernetes or similar systems
Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP in a production environment
Proven ability to design and operate distributed infrastructure systems
Experience with the CNCF ecosystem, applying tools like Helm and Prometheus
Knowledge of AI tooling for infrastructure workflows, enhancing automation
Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly in infrastructure processes
