For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $142,800 – $184,800 annually

Responsibilities

Define and shape product direction from an engineering perspective
Own the technical direction for real-time driver interactions
Build and release new AI-powered products in a dynamic environment
Design systems that manage backend and edge coordination effectively
Make architectural trade-offs while requirements evolve
Establish reliability, observability, and explainability patterns in AI systems
Act as the technical anchor for the team, mentoring firmware engineers
Incorporate external insights for full-stack and AI-assisted development
Promote the company’s cultural principles as the company scales globally

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering experience with full product ownership
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Strong programming skills in Golang, Python, or similar languages
Experience with LLMs or AI agent platforms
Proven capability in designing reliable, distributed backend systems
Background in creating backend systems for edge or resource-constrained environments
Mentorship experience for engineers in unfamiliar domains
Excellent communication for influencing technical direction without formal authority
