For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Home Experience to join the team of a leader in the Media space.
This role will help shape and improve user-facing experiences across mobile and web surfaces, with a strong emphasis on product quality, usability, and technical execution. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering partners to deliver features that drive meaningful engagement and strong user outcomes. The position also involves partnering with leadership on roadmap priorities and using data and experimentation to inform decisions.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $190,000 – $267,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to create products users will love
- Contribute to and improve developer workflows by mentoring team members
- Manage the full development cycle for major projects from design to launch
- Drive planning and implementation of backend architectures for mobile and web clients
- Promote metrics-led execution with a focus on operational excellence
- Work with leadership on roadmap development to align product and engineering goals
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience as a software engineer developing user-facing applications
- Fluency with product metrics and experimental design, familiar with tools like BigQuery and Firebase
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Swift, Kotlin, Rust, or C#
- Experience leveraging GenAI tools for software engineering productivity
- Strong focus on user experience and usability with a background in social platform interactions
- Entrepreneurial mindset, self-directed approach, and innovative thinking
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration in a remote environment
