Senior Software Engineer - Datacenter Systems

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Datacenter Systems to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Telecommunications & Hardware environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $184,000 – $287,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage software for automated datacenter provisioning and lifecycle management
• Build and implement scalable release train architectures
• Define, monitor, and enforce Service Level Indicators (SLI), Objectives (SLO), and Agreements (SLA) for infrastructure services
• Develop user interfaces (UIs) and APIs for internal tools
• Lead the technical requirement definition process for infrastructure features
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable integration and deployment
• Automate software updates and monitor system health

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in managing infrastructure or systems in high-performance or distributed environments
• Expertise in programming with Python, Rust, C++, and Shell or similar languages
• Practical experience with CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code frameworks like Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible, GitOps, and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of Linux, networking, and distributed systems building
• Ability to decompose monolithic systems into scalable, loosely coupled components
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
