Senior Software Engineer - Data Platform

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Data Platform to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $126,225 – $163,350 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and operate data ingestion and replication systems from production data stores
• Maintain scalable and modern data platform infrastructure
• Enhance the reliability and observability of the processing platform
• Develop APIs and frameworks in Go and Python for data accessibility
• Work on data lake technologies including Delta Lake and metadata services
• Collaborate with various teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Contribute to the company’s data infrastructure roadmap

Qualifications

• 4+ years in software engineering in production environments
• 4+ years in large-scale data infrastructure or systems
• Strong experience with Apache Spark or similar systems
• Experience with AWS services like S3, RDS, and DynamoDB
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Go, Python, Scala, or Java
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
